NNAC extends a hearty thank you to our outgoing chapter officers Arnetha Shipman (Corresponding Secretary), Windy Randall (Financial Secretary) and Rashita Swann (Treasurer) for the commitment, dedication and service to NNAC for the biennium of 2022-2024.
NNAC 2024 - 2025 Greek of the Year
Congratulations to the NNAC 2024-2025 Greek of the Year Crystal G Hunt. Crystal has been an active member of NNAC since her initiation in 2014. She has chaired the chapters Delta Academy and Delta GEMS committees. Served as the chapter’s Corresponding Secretary and currently serves as the chapter’s Recording Secretary. She serves with humility and truly exemplifies the core values of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Membership Anniversaries
Members were presented with an Anniversary Award at the June 2024 chapter meeting.
NNAC in partnership with Hampton Alumnae held a joint Voter Registration Drive at the inaugural city of Newport News Music through the Decades block party. It was truly a party with a purpose. We debuted our NNAC unique Voter Registration QR code. Folks had immediate access to the Department of Elections website where they could register, check their status, change their address, or request an absentee ballot. It was a huge hit. The social action committee was joined by many chapter sorors and the event was a huge success. We connected with many residents and registered 5.
NNAC Community Projects Committee
Members of the Community Projects Committee delivered school supplies to three schools in this year’s School Supply Drive. Newsome Park Elementary, Crittenden Middle and Sedgefield Middle Schools’ staff were all overjoyed to receive the supplies.
Special thanks to all chapter members for making this effort a success.
